Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Short version: SignalRange has no ads and never sells your data. Google Analytics is off unless you press “Allow”. If you make an account, we keep the account details and training progress needed to run it, and we delete them when you ask.
This policy covers signalrange.space, app.signalrange.space and docs.signalrange.space (“SignalRange”), run by Theodore Kruczek. Questions or requests go through the contact page.
Who SignalRange is for
SignalRange is satellite operations training aimed at students aged 14 to 25. You can use the simulator and read the documentation without an account.
To create an account you must be at least 13. If you live in a country where people under 16 need a parent or guardian’s permission to sign up for an online service, get that permission before you create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
What we collect
Without an account. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles every request and records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use it only to run and protect the site. Your browser also stores settings on your device (for example light or dark theme and simulator preferences). That data stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
Analytics, only if you allow it. When you press “Allow” on the analytics banner, we load Google Analytics 4. It records which pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city level), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google sets _ga cookies to recognise repeat visits. We turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data is not used for advertising. We use it only to learn which pages and training content people use. Google keeps it for no longer than 14 months. If you press “Decline”, or never answer, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent.
Your choice is stored in a cookie called sr_analytics_consent for one year, and it applies to all three SignalRange sites. You can change it at any time:
With an account. When you sign up, we store:
- your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, GitHub, LinkedIn or Facebook
- anything you add to your profile, such as country, organisation, user type, or military branch and rank (all optional)
- your training progress: completed scenarios and objectives, scores, saved checkpoints and achievements
- your app preferences, such as sound and units
SignalRange accounts share a sign-in system with KeepTrack (keeptrack.space), made by the same developer, so one account works on both.
Fixing a stuck mission. If a saved scenario stops progressing, the developer may open your saved progress and checkpoints and replay them in a test copy of SignalRange to find the cause. That access is read-only. It covers your training progress, app preferences, and the email address and display name needed to find your account, never passwords or sign-in tokens, and it is used only to fix the problem.
If you contact us. Messages sent through the contact form include your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply.
Who processes it
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information for advertising. These services handle data for us:
- Cloudflare: hosting and request logs
- Supabase: account sign-in and storage of account data
- Google: Google Analytics (only with your permission) and Google sign-in (only if you use it)
- GitHub, LinkedIn, Facebook: sign-in, only if you choose that provider
Some of these companies store data in the United States.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including deleting your account and all training progress. Use the contact page and we will respond within one month. You can also reset scenario progress yourself inside the app.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have more rights, such as objecting to processing or getting a copy of your data in a portable format. We honour these requests. We do not sell personal information.
Security
Sign-in and data transfer use HTTPS. Account data is only reachable after you sign in. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
